NILS- No Interest Loans

Want to feel a little more confident managing your money?

Money Minded is a free financial education program developed by ANZ that covers practical topics such as budgeting, spending, saving, bills, debt and setting financial goals.

You can work through Money Minded Online yourself, at your own pace and for free, you don’t need to be an ANZ customer. Or, if you’d prefer some support, trained staff at the Hood can work through Money Minded with you and help you build practical money-management skills that suit your situation.

Emergency Relief

If you’re doing it tough and need some immediate support, the Hood can help connect you with the right services. While we don’t operate our own emergency relief program, George Town Neighbourhood House is a collection point for Salvation Army Emergency Relief cards for eligible community members. We also offer a range of food supports through the House.
