Legal Services

Legal Help, Closer to Home

You don’t always need to travel out of George Town to access legal help.

George Town Neighbourhood House provides a space for visiting legal services, giving our community access to both free community legal advice and private legal services locally at the Hood.

The legal services are provided independently by the visiting practitioners and organisations.

Launceston Community Legal Centre

Free Legal Advice

1st Monday of the Month

Launceston Community Legal Centre provides free legal advice through its outreach service at George Town Neighbourhood House.

Appointments are one-on-one with a solicitor and can provide advice across a range of matters. LCLC's services include areas such as general civil law, family law, employment law, welfare rights and disability discrimination.

The service is designed to help you understand your legal situation, your options and what your next steps may be. If LCLC isn't the appropriate service for your particular matter, they may also be able to refer you to another service.

Appointments are required.

You can contact the LCLC office to make an appointment for the next George Town outreach visit on (03) 6334 1577.
